Sarita – Indian Restaurant in Albir
Albir has many restaurants offering Indian food. You can pretty much get a reasonable curry in nearly all restaurants, cafés and bars. Many of the Indian restaurants in Albir are actually Nepalese. These are very nice and offer great food but if you want a truly Indian flavour then Sarita is the place.
The question of which is the best Indian restaurant in Albir is highly debated. Everyone has differing opinions. But for many people the consistency of food, decor and service mean Sarita’s is the go to place. The restaurant itself is not as many from the UK would see as an old style Indian, with sitar background music, Indian waiters, lots of gold statues etc. This is more of your modern day restaurant with clean lines and clutter free dining area.
The restaurant is large and has a big covered terrace. Lovely in the summer and winter alike. Sarita is good for groups with large parties easily catered for.
Indian Food
The menu is extensive and all food is freshly cooked by the resident Indian chefs. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. The sharing platters are great, as are the Menu del Dia options. Have a typical meal of a starter followed by a main course curry dish served with rice and/or bread. Add a drink or two, with perhaps a bottle of wine and you will still be under 50€ for two people.
You can of course go for the special dishes. With vegetable sides, upgrade the rice or naan bread and you will pay a little more but it is still good value.
