Its the time of year when the festivities of Christmas and the new year period should be well under way. Unfortunately, as with all places worldwide, Christmas 2020 will be very different.
The bars and restaurants are all open, but trade is slow and the town centre is pretty much deserted by 10pm. There are some regulars bars that will stay busy later into the evening.
With closing times set at midnight (24:00h) it will be a quiet time of year for the local businesses that normally enjoy the many Christmas parties and events.
On the nights of Christmas and the New Year itself there is to be some lifting of the restrictions. Groups of gathering people can increase to ten, and the curfew currently at 24:00 will be extended to 01:30am. This will help with families who wish to meet or go out to dinner.
Many bars and restaurants are putting on special events for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve.
